Why builders pick Cloudzy

A tech-savvy favorite.

The four things buyers actually compare us on, done right.

High-spec infrastructure

Latest-gen AMD EPYC, NVMe-only storage, DDR5 memory, 40 Gbps uplinks. Single-thread leadership at every plan tier.

Risk-free trial

14-day money-back guarantee on every plan. No questions asked. No setup fees. Cancel anytime from the dashboard.

99.95% uptime SLA

Automated monitoring across 12 regions. Our last-30-day SLA is publicly tracked at status.cloudzy.com, no hiding.

24/7 human support

Live chat and ticket replies typically under 5 minutes. Engineers, not script-readers. Median resolution under 1 hour.

Use cases

Why builders choose
Cloudzy's Database VPS.

Production PostgreSQL

Run PostgreSQL on NVMe with DDR5 for large shared_buffers. Consistent IOPS means query latency stays predictable under load, not spiking on disk waits.

MySQL & MariaDB

InnoDB buffer pool in DDR5, data files on NVMe. Write-ahead logging hits NVMe latency, not SATA. Run production MySQL from the $14.47/mo 4 GB plan.

MongoDB document store

WiredTiger on NVMe handles random reads from large collections efficiently. DDR5 keeps the working set in memory. EPYC handles aggregation pipelines.

Redis & caching layers

In-memory caching with NVMe-backed persistence (RDB/AOF). DDR5 gives Redis the bandwidth it needs. Low-latency network means cache hits return fast to your app servers.

Read replicas & replication

Set up read replicas across Cloudzy regions. 40 Gbps handles replication streams without bottlenecks. Place replicas near your users for lower query latency.

Time-series & analytics

TimescaleDB, ClickHouse, or InfluxDB on NVMe. High sequential write throughput for ingestion, fast random reads for dashboards and queries.

FAQ — Database VPS

Common questions, straight answers.

Why does NVMe matter for databases?

Databases live and die by storage latency. NVMe connects directly to the PCIe bus, delivering microsecond-level latency and hundreds of thousands of IOPS. SATA SSDs max out around 550 MB/s sequential and have higher latency. For random 4K reads, the bread and butter of database workloads. NVMe is significantly faster.

Which databases can I run?

Any database that runs on Linux: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, CockroachDB, SQLite, and more. You get full root access, install and configure your database engine however you need.

How much RAM do I need for a production database?

Depends on your working set. A PostgreSQL database with 10 GB of active data runs well on the 16 GB plan, enough for shared_buffers and OS cache. For MySQL InnoDB, size the plan so the buffer pool covers your hot data. The 4 GB plan at $14.47/mo handles most small-to-mid production workloads.

Can I set up replication across regions?

Yes. Deploy database servers in any of Cloudzy's 12 regions. Set up streaming replication (PostgreSQL), GTID replication (MySQL), or replica sets (MongoDB) between them. 40 Gbps inter-region bandwidth handles the replication stream.

Is the storage isolated from other users?

Yes. Your NVMe allocation is dedicated to your VPS. No shared IOPS pools, no noisy-neighbor disk contention. Your database gets consistent storage performance regardless of what other users on the host are doing.

Can I take backups?

Full root access means you run your own backup strategy, pg_dump, mysqldump, mongodump, or any tool you prefer. Schedule backups with cron, stream them to object storage, or snapshot to a second Cloudzy VPS in another region.

How fast is provisioning?

60 seconds. Payment confirms, your VPS boots with your chosen OS, and you have root SSH access. Install your database engine, apt install postgresql takes about 30 seconds on NVMe. You can have a production-ready database server in under 5 minutes.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Yes, 14 days, full refund, no questions asked. Run pgbench, sysbench, or your own benchmark. Test replication, test your backup strategy. If it doesn't meet your requirements, you get your money back.

What about managed database services?

Cloudzy provides unmanaged VPS, you install and configure your own database. You get full control over tuning, extensions, and configuration. No restrictions on pg_extensions, no locked-down MySQL configs. If you want managed, we're probably not the right fit, but if you want control, this is it.

Your database, your hardware.
