What is self-hosted GitLab on Cloudzy?
Self-hosted GitLab is GitLab Community Edition running on your own Cloudzy VPS instead of gitlab.com. You get Git source control, merge requests, GitLab CI/CD, an integrated container registry, GitLab Pages, and the issue tracker, under your domain, your IP, your rules. CE is free; Enterprise is bring-your-own-license.

Is GitLab pre-installed?
GitLab CE is available as a one-click install from the panel. Pick a Linux template and the Omnibus package installs in about 5–10 minutes. Bring your own domain, point DNS at the dedicated IP, and you're done. Bring your own license for EE features.

What's the minimum VPS size for GitLab?
GitLab needs at least 4 GB RAM to run comfortably; the project's official guidance is 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended for active use. Our 4 GB plan handles a solo developer; 8 GB suits a 5–10 person team; 16 GB+ if you run heavy CI on the same box.

Can I run GitLab Runners on the same box?
For very light CI, yes. For anything serious, run runners on separate Cloudzy VPSes, that way builds don't compete with the GitLab web UI for CPU. A 4 GB GitLab plus a 2 GB Docker runner is a common pattern for small teams.

Is the container registry included?
Yes. GitLab CE includes the container registry out of the box. Push images from your CI jobs, pull them onto your Docker VPSes, all on NVMe, all under your dedicated IP. No per-pull fees.

How fast is provisioning?
Once payment is confirmed, your VPS is live in 60 seconds. The GitLab Omnibus install adds 5–10 minutes; reconfigure adds another minute. You'll receive an email with the IP, root password, and SSH connection string.

Do I get a dedicated IP?
Yes, every VPS comes with a dedicated static IPv4 plus IPv6. Point your `git.example.com` at the dedicated IP, run Let's Encrypt for HTTPS via the Omnibus config, and you're production-ready. Floating IPs are available for failover.

What's the backup story?
Daily snapshots are free. Run `gitlab-backup create` on a cron and copy the resulting tarball to a second VPS or an S3-compatible bucket like Garage / MinIO. The combination is more durable than most managed plans.

Are there hidden fees?
No. Egress is included in your monthly transfer allotment. Snapshots are free. IPv4 + IPv6 are included. Root access is included. The only paid extras are Floating IPs ($2.50/month) and additional snapshots beyond the free quota.
