What is Valkey?
Valkey is a community-driven, open-source key-value store forked from Redis 7.2.4 in 2024 after Redis Inc. changed its license. It's RESP-compatible, BSD-3-licensed, and maintained by the Linux Foundation. If you wrote code against Redis, it runs on Valkey unchanged.
