Billing suspension happens when there isn’t enough balance to keep a service running, and it works differently depending on whether the service is hourly (pay-as-you-go) or non-hourly (monthly, quarterly, and so on). This guide walks through both cases and what to do to bring a suspended service back online.
Hourly (PAYG) Services
As long as there’s credit in the account, each hour of usage is auto-renewed by deducting the corresponding amount from the balance. When the balance would hit zero, Cloudzy doesn’t delete the service right away. Instead, the balance is allowed to go negative for up to 7 days, a grace period that keeps the service suspended rather than deleted. The negative balance reflects the cost of keeping the service running during that window.
The account is suspended specifically because there wasn’t enough credit to cover ongoing usage. During this suspension, it’s the hourly services that stop. If the same account also has a non-hourly (monthly, etc.) service whose end date hasn’t passed yet, that service stays active and unaffected. Only PAYG services are impacted.
Resolution: add funds to bring the balance back to positive. Reactivation is automatic, no manual action needed.
Non-Hourly Services (monthly, 4-month, 6-month, etc.)
Non-hourly services need enough balance in the account before the end date for the plan to auto-renew. If there isn’t enough credit on the end date, the service can’t auto-renew, and it will need a manual renewal after payment.
The service is suspended, not deleted, for up to 7 days. If payment isn’t made and the service isn’t manually renewed within that window, it’s permanently deleted.
Adding funds alone is not enough. For a non-hourly service, the user must manually renew after paying, or the service will not come back online on its own.
Suspension here doesn’t affect the whole account. Only that specific service is suspended, everything else on the account keeps working normally.
