What is Cosmos-Server?
Cosmos-Server (often called Cosmos Cloud) is an open-source homelab operating layer that bundles a reverse proxy, VPN, authentication, container management, and a built-in app store on top of Docker. It turns one Linux server into a personal cloud you administer through a web UI.
Why run Cosmos on a VPS instead of at home?
A VPS gives you a static public IP, no ISP port-blocking, no electricity bill, and someone else handling hardware failures. You still get full root, your own data, and the same Cosmos UI. Useful when home internet is unreliable or asymmetric.
How much RAM does Cosmos need?
Cosmos itself is light, 512 MB DDR5 runs it. The apps you install on top are what consume RAM. A 4 GB VPS comfortably runs Cosmos plus Nextcloud, Jellyfin, Vaultwarden, and a couple of game servers. Heavier app stacks push you to 8 GB+.

Yes. Every Cloudzy VPS comes with a dedicated public IPv4 + IPv6, so you can point a domain at any Cosmos-managed app. Add the built-in 2FA + IP whitelist in Cosmos for sensitive services. Or keep apps internal-only behind the Cosmos VPN.
