What is a Grafana VPS?

A Grafana VPS is a Cloudzy cloud server set up to run Grafana OSS, the open-source dashboarding and alerting platform. Bring your data sources (Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, etc.), build dashboards, and ship alerts, all under your own domain, your own IP, your own retention rules.

Is Grafana pre-installed?

Grafana OSS is available as a one-click install from the panel. Pick a Linux template, the systemd unit starts on boot, and the web UI is reachable on port 3000 within a minute. Bind it to your dedicated IP, slap a Caddy reverse proxy in front for HTTPS.

Can I run Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo on the same box?

Yes, for small to medium workloads. The full LGTM (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir/Prometheus) stack runs on a 4–8 GB VPS for many use cases. Heavy production workloads benefit from splitting collectors and storage onto separate Cloudzy VPSes.

How much retention can I keep?

Depends on your plan's NVMe size and your scrape volume. As a rule of thumb: Prometheus at 15s scrape, ~100 series, 30 days of retention fits in <10 GB. Loki at moderate volume retains weeks on the 240 GB plan. Snapshots are free for backups; pair with object storage for long-term archive.

Does it support OIDC / SSO?

Yes. Grafana supports OIDC, OAuth, LDAP, SAML out of the box on the OSS edition. Hook it to Authentik, Keycloak, Okta, Google Workspace, login and team mapping just work.

Yes. Grafana's contact-points support PagerDuty, Slack, Discord, Teams, generic webhooks, email, and a long list of others. Configure once, route alerts by team or environment.

Are there hidden fees?

No. Egress is included in your monthly transfer allotment. Snapshots are free. IPv4 + IPv6 are included. Root access is included. The only paid extras are Floating IPs ($2.50/month) and additional snapshots beyond the free quota.
