Why teams pick Custom VPS

The shape your
workload actually needs.

Generic VPS pricing assumes a typical RAM:vCPU:storage ratio. Yours might not be typical.

Pick exactly what you need

10 standard tiers from 512 MB to 64 GB cover most workloads; custom builds for non-standard ratios. RAM, vCPU, and storage all scale, independently when needed.

Hot-resize without rebooting

Bump RAM, vCPU, or storage live from the panel. Most upgrades finish in under 60 seconds. The OS doesn't notice; the IPv4 doesn't change.

Standard hardware everywhere

AMD EPYC + DDR5 + pure NVMe + 40 Gbps on every plan, no matter the size. The 512 MB VPS gets the same network and storage hardware as the 64 GB tier.

Talk to a human if you need to

Custom builds happen by ticket. We'll quote a non-standard configuration in hours, not days. Same support team as everyone else, engineers, not call-center scripts.

What's adjustable

Eight knobs.
Every spec you'd care about.

Standard tiers cover most workloads. When they don't, talk to our team, we'll quote a custom build with non-standard RAM:CPU ratios, larger storage, multi-NIC setups, or specific hypervisor features.

Use cases

When generic plans
don't fit the workload.

Storage-heavy / RAM-light

Build farms, dataset stores, backup targets, workloads that need a lot of NVMe but not much memory. Add block storage to a small base plan instead of paying for unused RAM.

RAM-heavy / CPU-light

In-memory caches, embedding stores, single-tenant Postgres, RAG vector indexes. Scale RAM aggressively while keeping vCPU modest, pay for what the workload uses.

Burst-capable workloads

Most of the month at 4 GB; year-end at 32 GB. Hot-resize when the surge hits, downgrade when it passes. Hourly billing means you only pay for the spike duration.

Multi-VPS architectures

Frontend on small plan, app server on mid plan, database on large plan, all in the same region with free private networking. Mix tiers, the panel doesn't care.

Custom OS / kernel

Boot a custom ISO from the panel, anything that runs on KVM. Run your own kernel build, your own hypervisor (nested virt is supported), your own pinned distro version.

Test-bench / experimentation

Spin a clean VPS for every prototype. Hourly billing means a 4-hour experiment costs less than a coffee. Snapshot results, destroy the box, iterate.

FAQ. Custom VPS

Common questions, straight answers.

What does 'Custom VPS' mean?

Two things. First: 10 standard plan tiers from 512 MB to 64 GB DDR5 covering most workloads, pick the closest one. Second: if your workload needs a non-standard ratio (more storage but less RAM, more vCPU but less storage, multi-NIC, larger floating IP pools, or specific RAID layout), we can build a custom configuration. Talk to our team for a quote.

Can I scale RAM, vCPU, and storage independently?

On standard plan tiers, RAM and vCPU scale together (each tier specifies both). For independent scaling, e.g., 4 vCPU with 32 GB RAM, that's a custom build. Storage is independently expandable on every plan via volume add-ons; you can add NVMe block storage to any VPS without changing the base plan.

What's hot-resize?

RAM, vCPU, and storage can be resized live from the panel without rebooting. Most upgrades complete in under 60 seconds. Useful when traffic spikes, bump the plan, ride out the load, downgrade later. The IPv4 stays the same; the OS doesn't notice anything.

Hourly or monthly billing?

Both. Hourly billing means you pay only for the seconds your VPS runs (useful for batch jobs, ad-hoc fine-tuning, build farms). Monthly is better if you're keeping the VPS up indefinitely. Annual is cheapest, currently 50% off on Regular CPU plans.

Can I add extra IPv4 addresses?

Yes. Floating IPs are $2.50/IP/month and can be moved between any of your VPS instances at will. Useful for failover, blue/green deploys, or pinning a static IP across server rebuilds. Up to 10 floating IPs per account by default; more on request.

What about multi-NIC, private networking, or VPC-style isolation?

Private networking between Cloudzy VPS in the same region works out of the box, every VPS gets a private interface for east-west traffic with no bandwidth charges. Multi-public-NIC setups are available on bare-metal dedicated servers; for VPS, the dedicated IPv4 + IPv6 + private interface usually covers most patterns.

Do you have a custom OS / kernel option?

Yes. Upload a custom ISO from the panel. Linux, BSD, or anything else that boots on KVM. Custom kernel modifications, custom hypervisor topologies (running your own KVM stack inside ours via nested virt) are also supported. Specifications above stock require talking to our team.

How fast is the network on every plan?

40 Gbps capable on every Regular CPU and High Performance CPU plan tier. The shared 40 Gbps uplink has dedicated capacity per VPS via hypervisor QoS, so you don't compete with neighbor traffic for bursting. DDoS mitigation included on every plan, no traffic surcharge.

Money-back guarantee?

14 days, no questions asked. Cancel within the first two weeks for any reason and we refund the full amount, no questions asked. Custom builds are also covered, if the configuration we deliver doesn't match what you ordered, full refund or rebuild at no charge.

When should I move from VPS to dedicated server?

When the noisy-neighbor risk matters more than the convenience of hot-resize, or when you need physical-machine isolation for regulatory reasons. The 32 GB and 64 GB VPS tiers cover most production workloads, if you're hitting the 64 GB ceiling regularly, that's the natural breakpoint to talk about bare metal.
