What is the difference between a VPS and a Cloud VPS?
A traditional VPS uses one physical server for resources. Scaling up VPS specs solely depends on the physical server's resource allocation. Also, a VPS is charged monthly or annually. However, Cloud servers, like our AR Cloud, rely on a collective of physical servers instead of one and can be scaled up anytime from multiple servers. AR Cloud servers are charged using the PAYG (pay-as-you-go) method, meaning you will only pay for what you are using.
What is the pay-as-you-go (PAYG) payment method?
In the PAYG method, we will not charge you a monthly fee. You can add as much credit as you need to your account and create as many cloud servers as you want. As long as your AR Cloud servers exist, you will be charged hourly directly from your credit balance. Please note that not using a cloud server or turning it off will not stop the charging process since the server is still considered active and requires data preservation and maintenance.
