Why Bitcoiners pick Cloudzy

Built for the sovereign stack.

Pay in BTC, deploy in 60s

BTC is a first-class payment method — scan the invoice, wait for confirmation, your VPS is live. Same 60-second deploy, no card required.

Fast initial block download

Pure NVMe + 40 Gbps means a full Bitcoin Core sync in hours, not days. Pruned nodes are minutes after pickup.

99.95% uptime SLA

A node that goes offline misses Lightning routing fees and breaks BTCPay invoices. Independent monitoring across 12 regions keeps it up.

Privacy-aware support

We don't ask why you're running a node. Live chat in minutes, engineers who know bitcoind, lnd, and how to debug a stuck IBD.

Run any Bitcoin software

Bitcoin Core to BTCPay.
All on Linux.

Bitcoin Core for the base layer. LND or c-lightning on top. BTCPay Server for self-hosted payments. mempool.space mirror for blockchain analysis. Specter / Sparrow for multisig. The VPS is yours; install whatever you'd install at home.

Use cases

What Bitcoiners run on
a Cloudzy VPS.

Full archival node

Run a public-facing Bitcoin Core archival node with full mempool, txindex, and a stable dedicated IP. Help the network and have your own RPC source.

BTCPay Server self-hosted

Run BTCPay Server with Bitcoin Core + LND on the same VPS. No middleman, no fees, your store accepts Bitcoin natively.

mempool.space mirror

A personal mempool explorer for blockchain analysis or a privacy-respecting block-reader for your wallet. Fits on the 8 GB plan.

Specter / Sparrow backend

Run Specter Desktop's coordinator + bitcoind backend on the VPS, then connect from your laptop via Tor. Multisig without trusting public APIs.

Lightning Network node

LND or c-lightning with public channels. Earn routing fees, run a merchant node, or connect your wallet to your own Lightning backend.

Pay-with-BTC anonymously

Sometimes you just want a VPS without a card on file. Pay in BTC, get a clean Linux box, install whatever you'd install at home.

FAQ — Bitcoin VPS

Common questions, straight answers.

Can I pay for the VPS with Bitcoin?

Yes. BTC is one of our standard payment methods alongside Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, PayPal, ETH, and USDT. Pick BTC at checkout, scan the on-chain invoice, and your VPS deploys in 60 seconds after the first confirmation. No KYC required for the BTC payment path.

Can I run a full Bitcoin Core node on this VPS?

Yes. The 4 GB plan with 120 GB NVMe runs a pruned Bitcoin Core node comfortably. For an archival full node (~600 GB and growing), you'll want the 8 GB plan with 240 GB NVMe and a Floating IP for stable inbound connections, or pair it with our higher-tier plans for headroom.

Will my BTC node sync faster on this VPS than at home?

Usually, yes. Initial Block Download (IBD) is bottlenecked by disk IO and bandwidth. Pure NVMe and 40 Gbps uplinks mean a fresh full sync takes hours instead of days, vs spinning rust + a residential connection at home.

What about Lightning Network nodes?

LND, c-lightning, and Eclair all run on Linux VPS the same as on a desktop. We have a dedicated Lightning VPS page if you only care about the LN side; this page covers the Bitcoin Core base layer.

Is the BTC payment anonymous?

We don't require KYC for the BTC payment path on standard plans. We do collect an email for billing and account access, and we comply with applicable AML laws if there's a clear case for compliance review. Most users pay with BTC with no friction.

Can I run other crypto software (mining pool, mempool explorer, BTCPay)?

Yes. The VPS is yours — install whatever runs on Linux. BTCPay Server runs well on the 4 GB plan; a personal mempool.space mirror runs on the 8 GB plan; mining pool software depends on hashrate (the VPS is for the orchestration, not the hashing).

Is bandwidth metered for full-node traffic?

Each plan has a transfer allotment. A full archival Bitcoin Core node with default settings uses roughly 200-500 GB/month outbound when serving the network. The 4 GB plan's 5 TB allotment covers that comfortably; if you exceed it, we alert you instead of throttling.

Money-back guarantee on a BTC-paid VPS?

Yes, 14 days. If we refund a BTC payment, we refund in BTC at the original USD-equivalent value (we don't take crypto-FX risk on your behalf). Email [email protected] — no forms, no friction.

Which region should I pick for a Bitcoin node?

Any of the 12 regions works for a Bitcoin node — the network is globally distributed. Pick the region nearest to where you'll RDP / SSH from for low management latency. For Lightning routing, traders pick well-connected hubs like Frankfurt, London, or Singapore.

Run your own node.
