Changing your Cloudzy VPS billing cycle allows you to adjust how often you are billed for your server, whether upgrading from a shorter cycle to a longer one or downgrading from a longer cycle to a shorter one. Currently, it is not possible to change the billing cycle directly. However, Cloudzy provides several methods depending on your needs.
Upgrade: From a Shorter to a Longer Billing Cycle (e.g., hourly → monthly)
If you want to upgrade your billing cycle, you have a few options:
1. Server without critical data:
You can delete the existing VPS and create a new one with your preferred billing cycle.
2. Server with important data:
Use a snapshot clone to preserve your data. To do this:
-
Take a snapshot of your current server.
-
Navigate to the Snapshots tab, click the three dots next to the snapshot, and select “Clone to New VPS.”
-
This creates a new VPS with your desired configuration or billing cycle while keeping your data intact.
Important: This process generates a new VPS, so the IP address will change, and pricing may vary depending on current rates.
3. Keep your current server’s IP and pricing:
Top up your account with sufficient credit to cover the full cost of your chosen billing cycle. This ensures your server remains active without interruption throughout the cycle.
Downgrading to a Shorter Billing Cycle (e.g., annual → monthly)
The process for shortening your billing cycle is similar:
-
VPS without important data: Delete and recreate the server with the shorter cycle.
-
VPS with critical data: Use a snapshot clone to deploy your data onto a new VPS with the desired billing cycle.
Again, the new VPS will have a different IP address, and costs may vary according to current pricing.
By following these methods, you can effectively manage your VPS billing cycle while keeping your data safe and your server running smoothly. For further assistance or questions regarding changing your VPS billing cycle, submit a support ticket, and our team will guide you.
