This guide covers everything you need to know about billing, renewal, resizing, snapshot cloning, and deletion for non-hourly VPS plans.
Billing for Non-Hourly VPS
Non-hourly VPS services are paid upfront for the entire period, whether one month or one year. You are charged for the full term at the start of the cycle, ensuring uninterrupted access to your VPS.
Important: If you delete a non-hourly VPS before the end of its billing cycle, the unused days are not refunded to your Cloudzy account.
Resizing for Non-Hourly VPS
Non-hourly VPS instances cannot be resized directly. To change server specifications or move to a different plan, you can use snapshot cloning.
Renewal Policies
Non-hourly VPS plans offer two renewal methods: Auto Renew and Manual Renew.
1. Auto Renew
Enabling Auto Renew allows your VPS to automatically renew on the End-of-Term date, deducting the cost from your account balance.
-
If your balance is insufficient, the VPS enters a suspended state, and no invoice is generated.
-
Once the renewal date passes, adding funds will not automatically generate a new invoice. You must manually click Renew from the billing tab.
-
Auto Renew is also required for automatic invoice creation. Without it, invoices must be manually generated.
2. Manual Renew
If Auto Renew is disabled:
-
You must ensure sufficient funds in your Cloudzy account.
-
On the End-of-Term date, go to the Billing tab of your VPS and click Renew Now to manually extend the service.
-
Early renewal is not possible; VPSs can only be renewed on their End-of-Term date.
Grace Period: Monthly VPS services remain visible for up to 7 days after the End-of-Term date, but during this time, access is restricted. If the VPS is not renewed within this period, it will be permanently deleted.
Deletion and Data Retention
-
Non-hourly VPS instances that are not renewed within 7 days after their End-of-Term date are permanently deleted.
-
Deleted servers cannot be restored, making timely renewal essential to avoid data loss.
By following these guidelines, you can effectively manage non-hourly VPS services, from billing and renewal to snapshot cloning and deletion, while avoiding unexpected interruptions or data loss.
